As technology continues to occupy more and more of young children’s free time (kids between 8 and 18 years old consume around seven hours of screen time per day), children are spending less time moving their bodies. Youth sports leagues, recreational organizations, and unstructured backyard play are falling by the wayside as the digital world continues to capture and maintain kids’ attention.
