Although disruptions remain for the global fitness industry, promising data and trends keep us hopeful for the future According to a study conducted by IHRSA as part of the Physical Activity Council, more than one out of five Americans (21.8%) belonged to a health club or studio in 2021, totaling 66.5 million consumers ages 6 years and older. This represents a 3.8% growth over the last two years, a validation of the importance of our industry.
The 2022 IHRSA Global Report reflects on all that the global health and fitness industry has been through these past two years and how it's building a brighter, more unified, and active future. The report is divided into four parts:
